Snipe Eel: September 2, 2019

Follow the way of the snipe eel and just go with the flow!

But don't let its delicate, ribbon-like appearance fool you — these eels are master predators, able to snag shrimp from the water column using specialized, curved jaws. This one was seen while exploring in an unnamed minor canyon north of Kinlan Canyon as part of the Deep Connections 2019: Exploring Atlantic Canyons and Seamounts of the United States and Canada expedition.
