Stalked Crinoid
This stalked crinoid was seen during Dive 05 of the 2026 American Samoa ROV + Mapping Exploration expedition, with cirri anchoring the crinoid to its stalk, arms extended into the water column for feeding, and delicate pinnules for filtering food around the crinoid’s mouth. This crinoid was estimated to be nearly 20 centimeters (8 inches) across.
