Feather Duster Worm
This polychaete tube worm was seen attached to the sediment during Dive 10 of the 2026 American Samoa ROV + Mapping Exploration expedition. These worms have the appropriate common name of “feather duster worms” and belong to the family Sabellidae. They build their tubes out of sediment and other bits of hard material and their feeding appendages project from the tubes into the water for feeding.
