During the Seascape Alaska 3: Aleutians Remotely Operated Vehicle Exploration and Mapping expedition, we saw this dinner plate jellyfish (Solmissus sp.) at a depth of 902 meters (a little over half a mile) while exploring the water column off Alaska’s Kodiak Island.
