Bubbles at Ahyi Seamount
Mapping and remotely operated vehicle exploration of the Mariana Arc’s volcanically active Ahyi Seamount showed major seafloor changes since it was last surveyed — including this recently formed summit ridge seen in the midst of a massive bubble plume during the Mattingan: Mariana Arc Volcanic Exploration expedition on Exploration Vessel Nautilus.
