Basket Star
This basket star (in the family Gorgonocephalidae) was seen on a candelabra bamboo coral at a depth of 1,247 meters (4,091 feet) while diving on the Blake Escarpment off Georgia/Florida during Windows to the Deep 2018. Basket stars are a type of brittle star that use their complex, branching arms to filter food from deep-sea currents.
