A piglet squid (family Cranchiidae) onboard NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer after being collected during the eighth dive of the Papahānaumokuākea ROV and Mapping expedition. This specimen was collected at a depth of 707 meters (2,300 feet). This front view shows the eyes, arms, and siphon of this semi-transparent animal.
