Anemone
It isn’t difficult to see how the Venus flytrap anemone got its common name. This one was seen affixed to the stalk of a sponge during the first dive of the Deepwater Wonders of Wake expedition. Growing on other animals (like a sponge) allows the anemone to get higher in the water in order to feed. Learn more about symbiotic relationships by reading this ocean fact.
