Octopus
This Muusoctopus octopod, whose body was about 16 centimeters (5.2 inches) across, was observed on soft bottom seafloor at approximately 1,600 meters (5,250 feet) depth during a Windows to the Deep 2019 expedition dive to explore a seep site just south of Norfolk Canyon. This deep seep site was first discovered by NOAA Ocean Exploration using NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer in 2012.
