During the Océano Profundo 2015: Exploring Puerto Rico’s Seamounts, Trenches, and Troughs expedition, we dove east of Vieques Island and to the south of St. Thomas and imaged this interesting pink sea cucumber. In the background, you can also see a brittle star and the tube feet of a sea urchin. A variety of marine life was observed throughout the dive, including at least 16 different species of deepwater fishes and several different species of deep-sea corals, sponges, and invertebrates.
