January 30, 2021: Sea Urchin

During the first dive of the Northeast U.S. Canyons Expedition 2013 expedition, while exploring at a site east of Block Canyon at approximately 1,870 meters (6,135 feet), the team encountered this sea urchin making its way across the seafloor. This was remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer’s first non-shakedown dive.
