Co-science lead for the Deep-Sea Symphony: Exploring the Musicians Seamounts expedition Meagan Putts gathers a coral sample that was collected by remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer. Samples that are collected during expeditions are processed by the lead scientists on the ship and then carefully stored so that they can be shipped to specific repositories where they can be accessed by scientists wishing to do further research.
