Anemone Among Nodules
On the deep seafloor of the Cook Islands, this predatory anemone had established itself on a seafloor blanketed by small, spherical manganese nodules by wrapping around a sponge stalk anchored on a nodule. This observation was made during the Deep-Sea Habitats of the Cook Islands expedition on Exploration Vessel Nautilus.
