A merchant-cap jelly (Periphylla periphylla) observed on the eighth dive of the Papahānaumokuākea ROV and Mapping expedition. This species was observed several times during this dive, including this individual at 902 meters (2,955 feet) along the second transect. Detailed video of the interior of the bell was also recorded which is important for taxonomic purposes.
