December 21, 2021: Brittlestar

This lone brittlestar was observed wrapped around the stalk of a golden coral at 1,789 meters (5,869 feet) depth on 'Site G,' explored during the INDEX 2010: “Indonesia-USA Deep-Sea Exploration of the Sangihe Talaud Region” expedition.
