Remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer captures an image of NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer as the vehicle breaks to the surface following the first dive of Windows to the Deep 2021. During this dive, we explored a portion of a small ridge of mounds off the South Carolina/Georgia coasts that rise roughly 65 meters (213 feet) from the surrounding plateau. The dive featured high biodiversity and a number of corals and sponges.
