This cluster of sea anemones in the order Actiniaria were observed clinging to ferromanganese rock at a depth of 968 meters (3,175 feet) during a dive at a site dubbed "West Palmyra Seamount” as part of the Mountains in the Deep: Exploring the Central Pacific Basin expedition. Each individual polyp measured 3 to 4 centimeters (1 to 1.5 inches) across.
