August 2, 2021: Basket Star

This giant basket star with an intricate network of bifurcating legs was imaged at a depth of 555 meters (1,820 feet) by remotely operated vehicle Little Hercules at a site referred to as 'Nuang Traverse' on July 3, 2010, during the INDEX 2010: “Indonesia-USA Deep-Sea Exploration of the Sangihe Talaud Region” expedition.
