While exploring along the top of a ridge on the southern Blake Plateau, just inside the Stetson-Miami Terrace Deepwater Coral Habitat Area of Particular Concern and east of Port Canaveral, Florida, we found an area with standing dead coral and a ghost net. This was one of approximately five crinoids (Zenometra columnaris), which may represent a new subspecies, seen on the rope leading from the net.
