This shrimp, seen while exploring near Jarvis Island during the Mountains in the Deep: Exploring the Central Pacific Basin expedition, was carrying eggs. It belongs to the decapod suborder Pleocyemata. All females in this suborder brood their eggs on their abdominal legs.
