December 27, 2020: Brisingid Sea Star

During a dive to explore the east wall of Hydrographer Canyon as part of the Northeast U.S. Canyons Expedition 2013, we imaged this brisingid sea star. The goal of the dive was to characterize and discover benthic habitats and biodiversity, including anticipated deep-sea coral and sponge communities, as well as examine canyon geomorphology. Watch video highlights from the dive.
