August 22, 2020: Deep Discoverer

Remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer (D2) is recovered following a dive during the 2019 Southeastern U.S. Deep-sea Exploration. Equipped with high-definition video cameras capable of delivering stunningly detailed imagery from 3.7 miles below the ocean surface back to shore, D2 provides scientists with unprecedented access to the deep ocean.
