August 12, 2020: Urchin

During the 2016 Hohonu Moana: Exploring Deep Waters off Hawaiʻi expedition, the team imaged this urchin, Aspidodiadema cf. hawaiiensis. It has hoof-shaped ends on its spines that it uses to walk around on the seafloor.
