two unidentified poachers

During dive R609 on July 7, scientists on the expedition observed remarkably high concentrations of several fish species in the vicinity of the carbonate outcrops. Pictured here, in 270 meters of water, are two unidentified poachers (front) and a sharpchin rockfish. Two dominant species, not pictured here, were the Dover sole and Pacific hagfish.
