octopus

An octopus observed in 94 meters of water on central Heceta Bank. Octopi have the ability to change coloration to blend in with their surroundings. This one was caught off guard, and obviously isn't happy about our presence. Image courtesy of Lewis and Clark 2001, NOAA/OER.
