This short video clips shows a very "quick" subset of a typical deep submergence vehicle (DSV) Alvin launch. Chief DSV Alvin pilot Bruce Strickrott provided the narration. “Alvin launches start at 7:45 every morning. It takes about 15 min to load the people, seal the hatch, get the lunches squared away, and get the sub wet.” Video courtesy of Expedition to the Deep Slope, NOAA-OE.
