This is a short video clip of activities during the Lewis and Clark Legacy Expedition to Astoria Canyon off the Oregon coast. It includes launching the remotely operated vehicle ROPOS and underwater footage of a "field" of sea cucumbers, a canyon wall, halibut, and sharpchin rockfish taken by ROPOS video cameras. Note the audio during the underwater segments as expedition scientists, who are gathered around video screens in the research vessel Ron Brown, call out their observations as ROPOS traverses the canyon.

Requires QuickTime.
