The scale worm, Gorgoniapolynoe caeciliae, lives in tunnels along the branches of the octocoral Candidella imbricata. We believe the worm induces the coral to secrete over-sized sclerites at the bases of the polyps, which create the tunnels for the worm to inhabit.
