This peculiar sea pen (Kophobelemnon sp.) was observed around 3,100 meters (10,171 feet) during Dive 01 of the Seascape Alaska 5 expedition. It had three branching arms, each with tentacles at the end. These tubular arms joined at an orange-colored center point with a porous texture.
