A Pacific flatnose (Antimora microlepis) engaged us in a staring competition after it swam up to our cameras and stayed there for several minutes right before we concluded our dive. This fish was observed at  3,000 meters (9,843 feet) during Dive 01 of the Seascape Alaska 5 expedition.
