Hummocked Ridge Formation
Remotely operated vehicle (ROV) Deep Discoverer observing a hummocked ridge formation on the fifteenth dive of the Papahānaumokuākea ROV and Mapping expedition. These ridges were picked up in mapping data collected by NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer, which prompted a change in route on the morning of the dive in order to directly observe these features. This photo was taken by supporting ROV Seirios at 2,368 meters (7,769 feet) depth.
