Aloha. Hua’olelo o ka la. Kanaka pili moʻomeheu Hawaiʻi. Aloha, everybody. My name is Pīkake and I am a cultural liaison aboard the Okeanos Expedition 2501. Day to day. I do a lot of the cultural protocols, help to conduct ship to shore interactions with school groups, and develop outreach and education materials. A highlight of my job is I get to fulfill a lifelong dream of getting to voyage across the seas.
