Hoʻomohala ʻikepili. Hello, everybody. My name is Fernando. I'm a software engineer right here on the boat. Right here you guys can see the ROV. That's the vehicle we use right here on the Okeanos Explorer to, explore the bottom of the ocean. Like I said, I'm a software engineer, so I write all the software that goes into the vehicle for the sensors to drive it.

I’m also one of the pilots, and one of the highlights of my work here in the Okeanos Explorer is definitely driving the vehicle and seeing all the crazy feet, the crazy, creatures that we see, you guys can see right there. That's one of the really cute, animals that we have seen.
