2015 Hohonu Moana: Exploring Deep Waters off Hawaiʻi

Mission Overview

From July 10 to September 30, a team of NOAA and external partners both at-sea and on shore conducted mapping and remotely operated vehicle operations in the deep waters of the Hawaiian Archipelago, including the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument and Johnston Atoll – part of the recently expanded Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument.
