Remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer traverses over the seafloor of the volcano explored during the fourth dive of the Voyage to the Ridge 2022 expedition. For much of the dive, the seafloor was covered with white pteropod shells, with occasional current-driven patches of black encrusted pteropod shells. We also observed occasional outcrops of highly fragmented pillow basalts that were occasionally interrupted with long stretches of sediment.
