During the second dive of the second Voyage to the Ridge 2022 expedition, we collected a total of four rocks, including this piece of basaltic rubble that is covered in red iron oxidation and partly encrusted with the copper-based hydrothermal mineral malachite (green) and a few hitchhiking caprellid amphipods (white). It was collected at a depth of 3,032 meters (1.88 miles).
