Submerged Battlefield Archaeology: A Site Survey in Guam

Lesson Description:

Maritime archaeology is the study of past human cultures with an emphasis on how humans interacted with the world’s ocean, lakes, and river systems. In this lesson, students will model data collection, identification, and analysis of artifacts from a submerged battlefield to answer the questions: How do maritime archaeologists study submerged battlefield sites, and how do they document and analyze the artifacts they locate?
