This pair of unusual urchins with soft spines were found at close to 2,290 meters (7,513 feet) depth. They have long spines as a “skirt” around the bottom of the urchin, short spines on top, and long tube feet that they use to walk on the bottom. These urchins are small, about three centimeters (1.2 inches) across the test.
