Welcome to the Ocean Explorer Library, a selection of resources significant to NOAA's historical and current ocean exploration activities. Resources include Web sites, historical books and documents, expedition reports, and journal articles. The library is composed of three collections: Publications, Historical Documents, and NOAA Exploration Offices.
Publications features selected citations from papers and reports published as a result of NOAA or NOAA-sponsored ocean exploration activities. On-line access is available for a limited number of these publications.
Historical Documents features books, documents, and reports from NOAA's rare book collection that are significant to the history of ocean exploration.
NOAA Exploration Offices describes the main NOAA programs and offices engaged in ocean exploration activities.
Readings for Ocean Explorers is a digital library of complete documents and excerpts from letters, autobiographies, federal government reports, science articles, and reminiscences illustrating the history, science, and extraordinary personal stories of those involved in the exploration of the oceans.
