The tubeworm Escarpia spicata and the seep community at 1,900 m on the Jaco Scarp off Costa Rica. Although on the Pacific side of the Isthmus of Panama, this community shares some similarities with those from the seeps in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, and Atlantic.
