Thetis pilot Kostas Katsaros smiles for a picture inside Thetis' bathysphere as the SeaBED AUV rendezvous a few meters away. The SeaBED AUV was deployed while Thetis surveyed the wrecksite, marking the first time a human occupied submersible and an AUV completed coordinated operations of the same site at the same time! Together, data from the Thetis and SeaBED dive missions will provide a detailed description of the wrecksite and the dynamics of its environment.
