Submarine Volcano-W approached from the south-southwest. The fly-through circles the southeast summit first, and then zooms in on the northwest summit. The flight circles back around to the south side of the volcano and passes between the two summits. Depths range from 840 to 2700 meters (2755 - 8850 feet). Bathymetry data courtesy of New Zealand National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) and is vertically exaggerated 2 times. Fly-through movie courtesy of the NOAA Vents Program.
