This is not a very scientific question, as there has been so much great info in your daily logs, which I have enjoyed very much. I just wonder what happened to the little wood warbler—"presumably blown off course while migrating from its winter home"—that was mentioned in your May 10 log. Did you folks give him a lift?

We see non-sea birds come and go on every cruise, but we have no way of knowing what becomes of them. Sometimes, they hang out for several days on deck, with the crew feeding them. But they typically fly off at some point. Whether they make their intended destination or not is a mystery. We had several "visitors" during the Mountains in the Sea 2004 cruise, and a few came in pairs.
