A Bathyscaphoid Squid Swimming


A bathyscaphoid squid (family Cranchiidae exit icon) swimming in the "cockatoo" posture. The animal rotates around the spindle-shaped digestive gland, which it keeps vertical regardless of the orientation of the mantle and head.
